Day 20

Eamonn and I went back in for a checkup today. The doctor was very pleased with Eamonn's overall health. This is the pediatric infectious diseases doctor we had been seeing while Eamonn was in the hospital. He has prescribed Eamonn with a low level anitbiotic that we are to give him everyday for the time being. We will meet with his pediatric urologist next week who will decide on the timeline for how we should monitor his reflux condition, which will determine how long we should be on this medication for preventing UTIs and when a surgical option would become necessary. He could outgrow this reflux in anywhere from a matter of months to years, but we'll have to make sure his kidneys aren't being damaged by repeated UTIs.
